The Celon method.

Treatment using the Celon method involves reducing enlarged palatine tonsils to a normal volume by means of gentle thermotherapy. The lymph tissue, so vital for the development of the immune system, is left intact. In the case of chronic inflammation (tonsillitis), conventional removal of the palatine tonsils may still be recommended.

Treatment of adult patients using the Celon method can be carried out under local anesthesia. General anesthesia is recommended for children. From start to finish, the procedure generally takes no longer than around 15 minutes. The treatment is usually provided on an outpatient basis.

The young patients feel a marked difference after only around two weeks: Their throats no longer feel constricted – and the many other related problems are also gone.
